I love the COLORADO air...

Seattle. We had fun.
But. Colorado, we never want to leave you!

Our trip to Seattle was fun! Busy. But fun. It was great to see some family we see almost never, and even see people whom Casey has never met before. Mia was a huge hit, and did really well on our trip. She took the flight well, sleeping all the way except for those brief minutes she woke up to look around at everyone and flash them her gorgeous smile. She was a hit. During the wedding preparations, while mommy was knee deep in details and coordination, Mia floated from person to person and was calm and lovely the whole way.

The wedding was perfect. The details came together nicely. The wedding was right on schedule, and there wasn't too many hiccups to ruin the day.

Here are some pictures of our time there.

(we took a limo to the Melting Pot. It was delicious! And we got Emily a bunch of embarrassing gifts!)

(there was plenty of rough play!)

(Uncle Spencer put Mia right to sleep)

(Mia danced the night away with Uncle Nate)

(So sleepy!)

dum-duh-dumdum

My brother and his way totally awesome, Eric doesn't deserve her, fiance are getting married this weekend. In Seattle. Washington. Yup. Our first plane ride with Mia, and, since they now charge for every piece of packed luggage, we are carrying everything on. The challenge: packing 3 super cute, totally doesn't scream mom, outfits, with adorable shoes, that fits into half of the shared carry-on sized suitcase. But. Friends! I'm doing it. I have completely exhausted all of my resources in understand all the rules and regulations for infant travel - I'm good to go.

Reasons I'm nervous:
1. Mia is in her squealing - did I mention squealing? - stage
2. Mia doesn't understand "shhhh..."
3. Security may mistake my baby formula for cocaine
4. What if I don't have enough pairs of shoes?!

But, mostly, I'm excited for this little trip we finally get to take as a family. It is going to be so fun spending time with other family members and celebrating Eric and Emily's wedding!

Any advise on infant travel? I'm all ears!

So Long!

Tuesday Shmuesday...

What a fun weekend we had as a family. One of the things we wanted to do was get Mia's 6 month pictures taken. Since we have a tight budget for the next year, we decided to do them ourselves. So, with one white sheet, plenty of sunlight, a smiling daughter, and a digital camera, we set to work. Here are a few of our favorites.

What do you think?
